Resources & research guides

Practical starting points for researching education requirements, with direct links to primary publishers.

Research with a clear question.

Identify the applicable jurisdiction

Start with your regulator, delivery locations and funding arrangements. Separate national registration requirements from state or territory funding and apprenticeship conditions.

Check the effective date

Look for commencement dates, transitional arrangements and superseded versions. A recently published document may apply from a future date.

Follow the evidence

Read the underlying instrument or guidance, record its title and version, and keep the publisher link with your research notes.

Use AI as a research aid

Ask a focused question after signing in, follow the cited passages and check whether additional sources are needed.

Go to the primary source.

These links open the publishers’ public websites. Their own access conditions apply.

Your next question deserves a better starting point.
